Hello Fall, Y'all!
I don't know about you, but I am ready for cooler weather and cozy front porch time. So I wanted to get you a head start and share some of my absolute favorite fall porch decor ideas that will give your porch a shabby chic look.
A fall wreath on the front door is a must in my book.
There's just something about fall that makes us want to put a wreath on our front door. Maybe it's the memories of fall days spent apple picking or hiking through the woods or the warm and cozy feeling of decorating for the holidays. So I suggest starting with your fall wreath on the front door. It's a perfect way to show your guests that you're ready for the cooler weather. But a fall wreath is just the start y'all. Now let's add a little extra decoration to your front door; from traditional fall foliage to unique door hangers, there's a fall wreath style for everyone. So go ahead and add a little bit of fall to your doorstep. Your guests will appreciate it!

If not a wreath, hang a fall sign or flag above your front door
If a wreath is not your thing, how about a fall sign or flag to show your festive spirit and make your home stand out from the rest on the block? Of course, there are endless possibilities for fall front door decor, but a fall sign or flag is a simple and chic way to get started. Plus, it's easy to change your look year-round - swap out the design or switch up the colors. Still not sure? Here are a few of my fall front door decor favorites:
-A simple fall sign with "Welcome" or "Give Thanks" in classic fall colors like Fusion paint Prairie Sunset or Mod Mustard.
-A flag featuring a pumpkin patch or other fall harvest scene.
-A sign with the words "Hello Fall" wrapped with our IOD Fruitful Harvest Stamp
-A string of fall-themed lights outlining your doorframe.
Whatever you choose, adding a fall sign or flag above your door is an easy way to show your love for the season and spread some extra holiday cheer.
Pumpkins, gourds, and leaves, oh my!
When it comes to fall porch decor, pumpkins are everything! You can never go wrong with a pumpkin patch, different colored pumpkins, white pumpkins, stacked pumpkins, and more pumpkins! Mixing it up by adding your gourds and leaves to your porch area is the perfect way to get into the festive spirit. White pumpkins are a chic and unexpected twist on traditional Halloween decor, and they'll add a touch of elegance to your porch. Not sure how to style them? Corn stalks, pumpkins, and throw pillows for a cozy fall porch
As the weather cools and the leaves start to change color, you can get away with adding a little bit of cozy quirkiness to your porch without looking out of place. This year how about stringing up some fall lights, adding a few bushel baskets filled with corn stalks and pumpkins, and don't forget the throw pillows for a touch of cozy shabby chic. Tie it all together with a beautiful fall porch rug. A fall porch is not complete without a beautiful festive doormat or rug.
Add a touch of white with old shutters as wall decor on either side of your front door.
One of the best things about fall is the opportunity to cozy up your porch and get creative with your fall porch decorating. If you're looking for a unique way to spruce up your space, try using old shutters as wall decor. You can paint them in festive fall colors or go for a shabby chic look by painting them white using Fusion paint in Victorian Lace or Picket Fence. Then distress them a bit with some good old sandpaper. Finally, hang them on either side of your door for a touch of southern charm. Best of all, this is an easy and inexpensive way to give your porch a whole new look.
Don't forget to spruce up your bench and chairs too!
As the fall chill builds up in the air, it's time we swap out light summer blankets for cozy fall throws inside. But don't forget about your outdoor furniture! A fall bench is perfect to enjoy the cooler weather and changing leaves. Add a few fall pillows to your front porch seating for extra comfort, and you'll have a cozy fall porch that's perfect for entertaining or simply relaxing with a good book. So as you start planning your fall decorating, don't forget to give your outdoor space a little love. With a few simple changes, you can create a warm and inviting space that you'll enjoy all season long.
And if you want to get into the fall spirit, invite some friends for a fall bonfire. There's nothing like sitting around a crackling fire, sipping on some apple cider, and enjoying the cooler weather.
